Education
The city and county provide excellent training for their students. Carroll   High School is recognized as one of Alabama's top five school systems and has   piloted programs in Principles of Technology, Long Distance Learning, and   Discrete math. Seventeen different vocational courses are offered and are part   of a consortium developed in Tech Prep with the Alabama Aviation and Technical   College.
Excellent training programs are available through four post-secondary   educational institutions within a 22 mile radius. Instruction can be customized   to meet the industry's needs. Alabama Industrial Development Training, an   excellent work training program which customizes training materials and   instruction to meet industries' needs and offers pre-job recruitment, is   available to new and expanding industry at no charge.
An additional junior college is only 15 miles away. Troy University at Dothan   is within 25 miles. Night classes from various secondary institutions are   available on nearby Fort Rucker and are open to the local community.
